Acceptable Use Policy

1. General Provisions
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs the use of the Amavit Abacus platform ("Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with this Policy.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of this Policy:
- Platform means the Amavit Abacus website, web application, mobile application, and related services.
- User means any person using the Platform.
- Teacher means a User who creates and manages educational activities through the Platform.
- Parent means a User responsible for a Child using the Platform.
- Child means a minor using the Platform under the supervision of a Parent.
- Account means a registered user account on the Platform.
3. General Principles of Use
Users agree to:
- use the Platform lawfully, honestly, and in good faith;
- comply with all applicable laws and regulations;
- respect the rights of other Users;
- use the Platform only for its intended educational purposes.
4. Prohibited Activities
Users must not engage in any of the following activities.
4.1 Illegal Activities
Users must not:
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose;
- violate the rights of any third party;
- facilitate or encourage illegal activities.
4.2 Interference with the Platform
Users must not:
- attempt to hack, penetrate, disrupt, or interfere with the Platform;
- gain unauthorized access to any Account, system, or data;
- interfere with the availability, integrity, or security of the Platform;
- use bots, scripts, automated software, artificial intelligence systems, or any other automated means to access or interfere with the Platform;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, copy, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code or internal architecture of the Platform.
4.3 Misuse of the Platform
Users must not:
- use the Platform for purposes other than its intended educational use;
- create fake, misleading, or duplicate Accounts;
- circumvent technical restrictions or security measures;
- sell, transfer, rent, share, or otherwise provide access to an Account without the Company's prior written permission.
4.4 Misconduct Toward Other Users
Users must not:
- deceive or mislead other Users;
- engage in fraudulent activities;
- violate the privacy or legal rights of other Users;
- harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse other Users.
4.5 Prohibited Content
Users must not upload, publish, transmit, or share content that:
- violates any applicable law;
- contains malware or other malicious code;
- infringes the intellectual property or other rights of third parties;
- promotes violence, discrimination, hatred, or illegal activities;
- is unrelated to the educational purposes of the Platform.
4.6 Misuse of Personal Data
Users must not:
- collect personal data of other Users without authorization;
- disclose personal data to third parties without a lawful basis;
- use personal data outside the Platform in violation of applicable law;
- register a Child or provide a Child's personal data without the legally required consent of the Parent or other lawful basis where required by applicable law.
5. Additional Responsibilities of Teachers
Teachers agree to:
- act honestly and professionally;
- provide accurate information to Parents and Children;
- comply with all applicable laws and regulations;
- obtain all legally required parental consents before registering a Child on the Platform where required by applicable law;
- use Children's personal data solely for legitimate educational purposes through the Platform;
- ensure that they have a valid legal basis for processing Children's personal data where required by applicable law;
- refrain from creating Accounts for Children without the legally required authorization or consent.
6. Enforcement
If a User violates this Policy, the Company may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice:
- restrict access to the Platform;
- temporarily suspend an Account;
- permanently terminate an Account;
- remove any content that violates this Policy or applicable law;
- report unlawful activities to competent governmental or law enforcement authorities where required or permitted by applicable law.
7. Account Security
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
Users are responsible for all activities carried out through their Accounts unless such activities result from the Company's negligence or security failure.
Users must immediately notify the Company if they become aware of any unauthorized access to their Account.
8. No Monitoring Obligation
The Company is not obligated to monitor User activity or content published on the Platform.
The Company is not responsible for content created, uploaded, or shared by Users.
9. Changes to this Policy
The Company may update this Policy from time to time.
The updated version becomes effective upon publication on the Platform unless otherwise stated.
Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
