Editorial Policy
The Amavit blog publishes articles about mental arithmetic methodology, teaching practice, home practice and digital learning. This page explains how these articles are created and who is responsible for them.
Who writes our articles
Every article is published under a named author:
- Volodymyr Fedyay — founder of Amavit. Articles under his name are based on his own practical experience in methodology development, teacher training and competitions.
- Amavit Methodology Team — the team that works on Amavit's methodological materials. Most explanatory and practical articles are published under the team's name.
Some articles are written by the Amavit Methodology Team and reviewed by Volodymyr Fedyay. In that case both names are shown on the article.
Practical experience first
Our articles are based on practical experience of teaching mental arithmetic: work with students, teachers and parents, internal methodological standards and observations from real practice.
When an article describes an approach that differs between programs or schools, we say so. Timelines and benchmarks — for example, how long a topic or a full learning cycle takes — are practical guidelines, not guarantees for every child.
Sources
Scientific and research claims are supported by references to external sources where needed. Sources are listed in the article or linked directly from the relevant sentence.
Use of AI tools
AI tools may be used to help with drafting, editing, translation and structuring of articles.
The final methodological version of every article goes through human review by the author or the Amavit Methodology Team before publication.
Product information
Descriptions of Amavit features and screenshots of the platform are checked against the current version of Amavit at the time of publication.
Publication and updates
Each article shows its publication date. If an article is substantially revised, it also shows the date of the update.
Changing the author name or making minor corrections does not by itself change the update date.
Corrections
